Fighting Against Child Abuse
INTRODUCTION
Child abuse has been a big problem, especially in developing countries. Beating children and sexually harassing them are severe problems. Research has to be conducted to investigate the cause of these problems and protect children from being abused. It has been acknowledged that police personnel have to respond to a variety of situations that may be considered shocking, disturbing and upsetting to many people (Alison et al., 2011). For police to investigate child abuse cases, society has to play a significant role in helping them to arrest the suspect.
A child who has been abused either sexually or beaten may have emotional stress or traumatic stress. Significant organizations, police departments and social work services should conduct and investigate child protection matters. These investigations about child abuse might be stressful to police officers. Studies show that the issue of police officers and their exposure to trauma and their experience of secondary trauma is further complicated, as not all police officers will be affected in the same manner following exposure to traumatic incidents (Alison et al., 2011). A child who has been abused may commit suicide or fails in his/her education due to stigmatization by other children.
DISCUSSION
Children who undergo abuse are likely to be exposed to challenges incidents that may affect them physically and emotionally. The supporting forces that offer the investigations mostly fail due to limited counselling and training on how to conduct their investigation. Alison and colleagues indicate that failure of these forces results from poor working conditions and inappropriate training offered to its staff. In addition, complex tasks and potentially reduced investigation and submission standards are caused by lack of motivation and poor work performance.
Parents should be included in different ways by the professional to assist them during an investigation, especially in the difficult task of solving a problem. Children who are abused should be taken to the rehabilitation of abused children, which is a multidimensional and difficult task to solve (bunjamin & Shemsije, 2015). Parents should also be counseled and provided with education on the good parental skills to enhance the positive interaction between parents and children. According to Bunjamin & Shemsije, (2015), many communities services for different needs should be developed with the collaboration and creation of pro-laws to protect children, the law aimed at expanding services for prevention early childhood abuse.
The process of prevention of abuse in our country should enhanced by the professionals, providing appropriates procedures in order to affect in a supervision to support effectively. If we have meaningful data in hospital, effective and partial relations supported for the risk of children therefore is recommended related by help they are based in particular way on international findings (Bunjamin & Shemsije, 2015). Social work groups have largely emerges to support parent and giving them advices on how to handle their children. Bunjamin & Shemsije, 2015), found that child and youth services should be the objective to create conditions for the life of the child, to support parents, to encourage the minors in their individual development and social.
To enhance the positive interactions between parents and children or services should affect to the children in socio-emotional development and instructed support that they to communicate in families that have predispositions and indicator in the abuse that can occur (Bunjamin & Smemsije, 2015). Criminal offenses such as sexual child abuse, negligence and physical abuse. Its important to have well organized organ which will providing the justice and punishes the criminals who abused children. Protecting children should be based on the views concerning the protection and inefficient assistance, it will be vital to gain the damage and cooperation of children and when it is possible (Bunjamin & Shemsije, 2015).
Most children who are affected, are from low socioeconomic status. Race and ethnicity have accelerated the abuse of children. Researches shows that the African-American children experience abuse and neglect at rate which higher than those the white people. Irrespective of the data source, definitions, and measures, the true magnitude of child abuse and neglect is likely underestimated and children of all ages, races and ethnicities deserve safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments to achieve maximal health and life potential (Beverly et al., 2016). The key factor which cause some parent to abuse their own children are divorces, parental substances abuse, parent stress and parental mental health issues among others.
Supportive family environments and social networks consistently emerge as protective factors, however, other factors such as parental employment, adequate housing and access to health care and social services may also serve to protect against child abuse and neglect (Beverly et al., 2016). There is no procedure which has been applied to determine why the children are been abused and neglected. Although the groups and organizations has emerge to deal with those who offend children, cases of children abuse are growing higher and higher every day. According to Beverly et al., (2016), children who are abused and neglected may suffer immediate physical injuries (e.g., cuts, bruises, burns and broken bones), as well as emotional and psychological problem (e.g., posttraumatic stress and anxiety).
CONCLUSION
To prevent child from been abused and neglected progress has been made to understand the cause and how to solve these problem. There is an important need to increase the capacity of state and local governments to implement and scale up effective interventions that can reduce child abuse and neglect (Beverly et al., 2016). Therefore we can conclude that the child abuse is as result of poor interaction between parents and their children or poor neighborhood. There is no method to be applied to predict who will be next victim. It is the role of government and parents to offer good security to children and counsel the children has been victims of the abuse.
