How to use excel Descriptive statistics for data analysis
After assigning the add-in tool in excel to run the descriptive statistics calculations, I realize that almost everything one needs to know about the data has been displayed all at once. The descriptive statics measured the standard deviation, which shows how much one can rely on the data, and the difference between a particular data shows how close the data is to the average. When the standard deviation is low, the data is very close to the mean, hence very reliable. In our case study, the standard deviation shows low numbers except for the age. It means that the data collected is reliable and can be used to analyze the level of anxiety. The reason for the high standard deviation is the age gap, which is between 23 and 59. The descriptive analysis summarizes data very well, making it easy for one to understand it easily.
My plans for learning more about excel and how the information learned to benefit me.
I do know more about how to work with excel as it has simplified statistical calculation and measurement. Once the correct data is run through the excel add-in tool, one gets all the information about the data at a brink of an eye. The knowledge I have received from Excel will help me to carry out statistical analysis in my medical field (Guo et al.,2012)
