In this assignment, you will study the ministry of Christ through the Gospel of Luke. After having read through the Gospel, you will consider our readings over the past several weeks and discuss areas in which human service ideas, theories, skills, and practices are exemplified in the life of Christ. Read the Gospel of Luke – Chapters 4 – 21. Review the contents of Chapters 1-2 and 4-8. Using the Powerpoints for each chapter may be an effective starting place. For this assignment, select any 4 themes or passages or characteristics of Christ that were salient to you in reading the gospel that echoes principles or theories we have been discussing in this course. For each, provide a brief summary of this as found in the gospel. Then is more than a superficial manner, discuss the human service ideals that are consistent with what you chose. Each of these themes should be approximately 1 page in length. Be sure to provide and introduction and a conclusion to your paper.
